i ended up with leppas utes entire suspension setup in the end................

but it just gathers dust till i decide to cut up my rear floor pan to be low and functional.

the only thing im missing to bolt it all in to either vehicle is new s13 disks. as i refurbished everything else when i bought originally. i also dont want to use existing strut tower pins/bolts/i dont know......as they are bigger than factory by a couple mm. not drilling my strut towers out! il eventually get something new pressed in to camber plates.

are your tyres rubbing on the firewall per chance>? i had to get wal to cut and reweld to gain clearance needed by lowering more than 50 mm on both 1200s. failing that slightly skinnier tyres help. i chunked out my tyres due to soft suspension on the ute via the guard being aggressive.

Na nothing's rubbing. I'm pretty happy with current set up. It travels nicely but WOF guy doesn't let me use RCAs without cert so I'm starting to get sick of pulling em out and back afterward.

Cut up floor pan? Are you meaning the coupe?

Took tyres into mag&turbo today to get the rubber removed.

Any ideas on how to tidy them up?
Was going to mask up and respiratory the inner black and then polish up the chrome with elbow grease.

Any suggestions on this ie taking to a supplier to machine polish or using a paint shop to bake paint on or is out of a can still going to be Sweet?

Also how are we adding pics now that photo bucket is a rip?

My little brother has been living with me last few days. Been teaching me a few things about engine building. Just the layout is so simple yet makes so much sense. This engine is Hayden’s old one which he had in his Ute at one point.

Nothing fancy. Just getting it up and running and putting on the 5 speed too.

Covid19 time has allowed me to strip the Ute front end. Found more cancer, so will be sending Ute into engineers for some cutting and welding

Engine is broken down and I started the rebuild but decided to do a little more to the A14. It’s now in Palmerston North at an engine builder friend of my brother - Chad Ace. He builds a range of engines for the stock car scene so I’m looking forward to what my small budget will get.

Pulled heater core out for a clean and will start the sound deadner on the floors when I can.

Will clean the dash and tidy wiring while It’s all out.

You breaking the rules Tony, one Datsun to be running at all times.
Nice to see the loving going on here. Do you think you can get it going for the SI DatNats this year? We are heading to Cromwell for some great roads and maybe even some laps at Highlands park, and Awesome Photo opportunities for all the old cars. Labour weekend 2020
