[quote="Bartman"]I read somewhere that BeeR limiters aren't too good for your turbocharger.

Spoken like an expert Bart, but a Beer limiter and Bart aren't two things I'd associate together, guess that's why you put the caution on the end. "(Don't quote me, I might have that wrong)"

Righto

Did some more tuning , more aimed at the low speed low load fuel economy side of things.

Getting there incrementially, daily driving it I notice i was seeing boost like mixture's when nana driving around.

I mean i know its going to use tons of gas but there is no reason to give it away !!!!

and in other news

My Koni Adjustable rear shocks arrived today ! yusssssss so there going under the tree

"To James from Santa"

But my passenger window will go down but it wont go back up (electric) & I am about to investigate why the heater is always stuck on heat ( 27 degree's today - fully not nice blowing hot air when its set to cold )

Project Car's

sigh

Injector No6 appears to be leaking and the surronding area is wet and stained a bit yellow.

it could be a fuel rail or the injector itself, i did already use all new high pressure hose and clamps to replace the old ones.

Anybody know of a Nissan R32 GTR yellow top 440cc injector?

Re: James 85 Z31 300zx - Leaky Injector Syndrome.

Right

Ordered 6x new injector Lower O rings in the hope that one of those went leaky and the actual injector itself is ok
( otherwise I'm stuffed for the next cruise )

So I'm in the process of cleaning & reassembly at the moment on that front

and a few days ago I did an engine bay tidy up by

Removed Idle Control
Removed Water Lines from throttle body
Removed Water Lines from Intake Plenum
Removed Complicated & messy as PCV breather system
Installed Filters on both valve covers
Tidy'd up some wiring
Tidy'd up some vacum lines

End result

Looks way cleaner, I can actually get to injector plugs and spark plugs now. Wiring is very easy to install and remove now and it Idles just as nicely and stabe as it did with the horror story of plumbing attahced

Got sick of not having some form of music while driving

Before akaroa i busted out some cassette tapes for the old am/fm cassette tape deck ( original ) in the car

It ate the tapes, would not let me eject the tape and continued to make horrible screeching sounds until i jammed a big screwdriver into the slot and broke a whole heap of stuff to make it shut up.

Roll forward 3 months I made a panel with 2 switched aux power supplies fused from the battery, and then cut a slot in it for a standard DIN head unit.

The hold head unit was about 1.5 din tall and a bit wider so it left tons of room.

and usually the passenger side of the car is a mess.

the ecu cover is usually removed to allow access to the usb port for tuning. and i had these 2 thermocouple probe connectors randomly dangling around the foot well. So i did some sneaky hiding of USB and thermocouple cables and stuck them in the ash tray for easy access when required. and when not in use it looks nice and clean
