I now have a set of SU's with manifold, linkages, air-box and choke cable and also a set of extractors with full exhaust. Including new hotdog in the middle and new muffler, not 'Big Bore' but I don't want that shit anyway...
It all came off the white 180b sedan that got rolled on the highway, here in nelson, about a year ago.
But, I'm sure it wont take much to modify it to fit lol.
Got the lot for $200. Sounded good to me...

Nice one Bert!
are the carbs round tops, or square tops?
What colour is the airbox? If the paint is a little grotty on it, please please please paint it a factory colour.

Here's some Pic's just for you Bartman!
The carbs are flat tops, I gather their probably standard 1 1/2 SUs?
The manifold has 'Japan 220' cast into it. the carbs have 'iso' or 'i50' or something on the side.

The air box is a lil beat up, and has been painted metallic blue (With a can by the looks)
But inside it's the standard orange.
I just don't know if I should paint it that orange or the sky blue that my factory one is?
Either way, It's definitely going a factory color dw.

The extractors are 4-1, look to be 1 1/2. they are welded straight to the rest of the exhaust lol
Looks like it was one piece all the way through! But I'll most likely as a 2 bolt at the back of the extractors...

Ok Guys I need some advice...
I just tried to get the old plugs out out the head, using 'penitr8' and a bar due to how tight they are in there, when this happened...

I have the feeling i may have bent it slightly, but even still it never budged, even after drowning it in Penitr8!

You could try drilling it out?

Sucks, thankfully this has happened on the bench, nothing fallen inside a cylinder and no having to pull it down to get it fixed. Still sucks! You may be using the wrong Product, can I recommend BOC's C2H2+O2

A friend of mine took the head to a talented mechanic at our friendly wreckers and he has sorted the little plug issue out.
I'll probably go pick it up on monday.
I'm currently just cleaning up the carbs.
Still trying to decide what color to go with for the airbox... Any ideas?
