Small update......got it running after a couple of probs with the carb and have been working on stuff for a wof. I welded up a temporay exhaust out of bits I got from a midas skip and made an exhaust with one small hot dog muffler (its bloody noisey) so will weld another muffler in tomorrow. I,ve also had it up up blocks for rust profing the under floor, lots of work with a wire brush, then a good wipe down with kerosine, then one coat of rust kill primer and three coats of molseal....two more to go. I,ve also lowered the engine about 10mm by fitting mazda engine mounts, mostly so the flows will clear the stering arm but also to help with cornering.....
Its been so cool driving around in the last couple of weeks, realy happy with the offset of the wheels as can cruise around with three guys in it with no tyre rub. Its been over ten years since I,ve driven it and I cant get over how small these cars are, theres so little room in it that you almost have to put your arm out the window...ha ha...
Couple more pics...

Nice one
I would have to agree about the size. Still, I hang my arm out and lean forward in true oldschool style.
