Hey all,

So I'm getting sick of my ute only running well for 2 months and then needing a points adjustment :baseballbat: so I thought time to go electronic. A quick trademe search showed this.....

A and L series engines he says but on the pertronix website I can find no mention of L series engines. Are L and A dizzy similar?

Has anyone else used these on a L18?

Its alot of money if it don't work :?:

i got mine going in a A serries, one thing im stumpd on is my rev counter has stoped working.. it flicks when ya turn the key on but thats all anyone got any idea on this

What brand dizzy to they A series use? Is their any numbers on them?

one question what did you do with the wire that went to the points from the coil have you disregarded this wire and wired the your dizzy straiht to the coil with new wires ?

Check out Ebay before you buy. I got one of these last year off Ebay whilst the dollar was high (and it still is pretty good) for something like NZD$100-$120 landed.

Can try to find more details if you are interested.

Hey just to follow up on this from a year ago.

I fitted a Powerspark electronic ignition kit to my L18 the other week and it works great.
Got it from this guy....

Only cost 85 I think it was (114$ with a new coil and delivery)
