I'm not sure what it is yet Vaughn. It's either the flywheel, or maybe the cam sprocket has worked itself loose. Making a f-king horrible noise, but it still goes like the clappers. And I checked the rocker gear out and it looked to be all good.

Would we want to do it on the sunday, or on the saturday? Mite need a day to recover before work? (Well riding a long way in my car itsn't exactly rejuvinating)

Saturday would be all good for me, prefer that to a Sunday.
Recon you must have something well out of balance somewhere if things keep coming loose. HAs the rotating mass been balanced at anytime?

Sounds sweet to me :) And I rekon a saturday would be good too, then if someone wants to stay overnight in Kaikoura they can.

yeah I had the rods balanced by a pro, and my crank, crank pulley(s), flywheel, and P/plate balanced on a very sensitive machine. In this engines last incarnation, I screwed the living bejesus out of it many many many times. So It's kind of a mystery why it would start doing it all of a sudden. Especially with the dowels I refitted last time. If it has come loose again, I'm going to use a different flywheel.

Nelson would be very cool - come up and see the family. Buuuut im a bit weary that the wee datto mite not make it all the way there. Would be a slow trip if i tried it lol
