True that, Was it a blue 1200 coupe? Remember one getting around jville some years ago. Also Datomic has posted a pic of a coupe.

I think ive only seen one coupe driving around Welly from memory it had an orange and white paint scheme i think. Last sunday i went over to Masterton to have a look at a coupe, the guy wanted 2.5k for a rolling shell which needed a new valance, sills and patches on the roof floors and boot came with a bumpers, grill and a new valance but no interior apart from a cracked dash. I thought it was a bit much considering the condition of it, if anyone interested in it pm me and ill send you his details.

Yeah i think that is way to dear, I recently picked up one with very minimal rust, few dents in roof, reg on hold, took it for a wof and went straight through for 3k

Crap now thats a fair price. Sometimes I wish I lived down in Christchurch with all the datsuns. The guy who was selling it said he had around 12 in different condition also had a couple of sedans and a wagon. I guess ill just a keep an eye out surely something must pop up in the future

Just thought I would bump this to see what out there. Just finished studies for the year and now need a daily before next trimester. After something thats running or a good shell, really after a 1200. Ive got a maximum of 5000 to spend.

It looks like the engine has been pretty hot by the looks of the bonnet also seems like it still has the standard 1200 radiator..? The dodgy alarm and stereo doesn't bother me since im good with electrics. I dont mind spending time fixing it up just not keen on having to spend hundreds making it look tidy.

Looks reasonable, coupes are fetching good money, mint is hard to find and expensive to create, that said a good frame is worth good dollars, and this one is all certed and sorted for the A15 and 5 speed, better than some at more money. I think 3 grand is a steal for a coupe, they were always worth morre than sedans and sedans are fetching 4-5 grand for one in similar condition to how this looks, with Std A12 and 4 speed. My 2 cents worth.
