you mad bastard, I love it, know what you mean about ca,s in 1200s, when I started mine they were a little differant, now they are common as, be back in town in a fortnight, would love to come have a catch up.

Did you get that motor and box off Martijn? If you decide to change turbos let me know, I'd be interested in the stock FJ one.

Thanks guys, na this motor came from inverse, out of a series 1 rx7 race car.

Shouldn't have to reses the firewall just a few slight mods to the tunnel as the gearbox is same size as 1600 one.
The engine will be built to a safe 400hp so itl rip a skid anytime.

Can't wait to get stuck in, I'm sure this thing will cause much debate with everybody's ideas

Do yourself a favour and recess the firewall will make life alot easier when it comes to fitting everything in that engine bay. Come around and have another look at my engine bay. Shit is tight front to back with a CA and ive got mine hard up on the firewall.

I built my tunnel bigger in case I ever decided to go fj (although originally I was putting in a z18) its not so hard, and plenty of people to help with advise and or talent if need be, be nothing worse than dropping the clutch to a big thunk of gearbox sidemovement (is that a word lol) against tunnel, makes installs easier as well.

Haha yea ill probably do something like brents 310 wagon with the eb conversion, or like what nicks done on that green 1200 I like the look of using the original steel from the firewall etc.
Looking at linking the rear but by the look of nicks if you use The correct dimensions its bye bye rear seat.

Researching truck arms atm - see NASCAR rear suspension billy basic but should work well. At least It'll turn left good haha.

If the FJ and box ends up being too chunky you could always chuck a rotor in it cuz, they're really short and I hear those FC gearboxes are pretty compact too eh, brap brap brap.

you could probably run short top arms, my top arms are the same length as the bottoms so I could use the same mounting locations on the body for the top and bottom arms if that makes sense. You could have 4 mount seperate points on the body and run real short top arms and get minimal intrusion in the back seat. Probably wouldnt feel it depending on seat. The amount of suspension travel you want will limit how short that top arm can be though
