I got a little carried away this arvo and started pulling apart the ute and am going to clean it up and
replace missing bolts, bushes etc as it seems there are a few.
Took the front bumpers, guards etc of and am just having a pock around. Looks pretty clean in most
areas. Can I get a water blaster in this area and then just get some black deadner paint onto it? Or use a wire brush etc?
Im also going to re-paint the black part as its got some of the old blue paint coming through. Will an old sheet do as a
cover for over spray or will i need to get some plastic covers?? The lights are missing the springs that secure them in so
I am going to use any odd spring for this.
Also did the tapets the other day. Seems quieter than normal but still some vibraty noise at around 4k rpm. I ended up only
changing 3 tapets. I also read that it can still happen due to no longer using lead in the fuel ... this sound about right?
Bart, any closer to making those brake brackets?

After getting the second guard off i found this
Its right above the torsion bar and is pretty damn soft.
Whats the plan of attack?
Dig out and fill with bog?
Wal you up these ways any time in the future?
Tow to garage and get them to sort?
Planing on keeping ute forever so cant justify leave as is where is.
Also one of the guard indicator was full of rust, the bulb was melted to it and the bulb spring was absent. Plus the bottom left indicator is rooted. It has been bogged and glued to keep it together! Does anyone have any of these spear lying around? beer/cash/wine etc

Tony get a local panel guy to price replating it, don't put bog in there, it's structural really and needs sealed and strengthened.

Seems its the same location as an old rust repair I've had done. Took it to a recommended repairer and he has suggested some where aroud the 300 mark. This seems reasonable so hopefully she'll be in there some time this week. Any one in Blenheim have a car trailer?

At this stage Luke has some available for me to use
Cheers for that though.
