Jumping power from a wall socket is a hell moari job. They already stung you hard, tell them go fuck. plus the fabriacted quote thingee.
tell them they can fix it for free, or else feel your wrath. I wouldn't take that shit from them.

I know exactly what you guys mean about telling them to get fucked but I reckon $225 is worth it to get the shit sorted without future aggro


I was fairly distracted at work for 3 or 4 hours today and if I had to go through that regularly till they sorted it, I would scream.. The way I look at it I just paid $225 to extend my life by 2.25 days - worth it by heaps....

I rang a sparky mate tonight, (especially to discuss this) He said it's quite common place to jump the power off a wall point. I once asked him to jump power off a lightswitch to put in a new wall point. and he was like "Nah, that's uncool". I spose that a light circuit wiring can carry less current than a wall point.

im glad you have reached a compromise, I maybe would have tried to play hard-ball on the cost, but I guess at the end of the day, they are correct in the fact it would have cost more to put it round the corner, materials wise.
