Nice! Are you parting out the C35? or repowering with a VK56
Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
Haha, A12 swap bro. It's got a leaking/bent steering rack and a cracked windscreen, few other little bits and it should be able to be recomplied. Will do that and then see, will probably end up with the motor out of the black Z in it and then get sold so I can build the new motor.
Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
I fitted the Z Sport front kit I'm thinking about putting on the black car to this to see what it looks like, not 100% sold on it. It's a bit deceiving as it doesn't have a motor in it at the moment so is sitting really high, there is usually a rubber lip that runs along the bottom as well which I don't have.
I rolled it out of the garage today to put a motor back in it to start making up engine mounts, turned out to be a bit more of a mission than I thought so I might swap places with it and the silver/maroon car which is already set up with a steering rack and has no gearbox in it.

Also started mucking around with putting the RX7 seats into one of these after giving up last time. It can be done but will be a bit tricky, I was hoping to use the original Z rails but the mechanism for the slider is too tall and hits on the bottom of the seat, the RX7 rails can be modified pretty easily to bolt to the floor but the bolt pattern for the Z rails is wider than the RX7 so I would still need to adapt the RX7 seats back on to the RX7 rails.

Re: DJZ's other other 2 seater 280ZX
Tempting but definitely not for the white car, I'll be selling it as soon as I've done what I want to it.
I think I'm going to put the throttle bodies on the RB25 while it's still in the Laurel and get the motor set up the way I want before it goes into the Z. There's still rust repairs that need to happen before it's even worth swapping the motor over.

These are the throttle bodies, adaptors and trumpets. Need to get James to CAD me up a one piece flange, get it water jet cut then chop the inlet runners and weld it on. Seeing as the spacing should be the same I can run the RB26 plenum on it if I want to keep it running with the standard computer.
