Right, bit of an update.

As of today i got the brakes working properly.. finally! and took it for a big drive but it was running like crap.

First i started it up and it was idling for ten minutes, then i went to drive and it just died, and wouldnt start again. so i waited until it was cold and it started.. but ran super poo. would run ok untill the engine had some load, about when full boost hit, and it it would do massive 4 cylinder misses. it may be the coil or something like that so i will change that tomorrow hopefully and see if it changes anything.

also i have to put smaller blocks in the back because the diff hits the floor and it sounds and feels horrible haha!

forgot to take my camera so no pics!

so, I tried a different coil to fix my engine cutting out problem.. that didnt make a difference..

Then I tried a different dizzy, It started up and ran for a second but missed due too my loose intercooler piping. Then i tightened up the intercooler piping, started it up, it idled for a bit, then started running worse and worse, then dies and now it wont go again... :|
Anyone got any idea what it could be?

Also when it running, you can take off the water temp sensor plug (for computer) and the plug that goes in below the throttle body which is some kind of airflow switch, and it doesnt make any difference to runnning.. which it should..

Also i dont have an O2 sensor hooked up, anyone know if ya need it hooked up?

btw she was running mint as when i first got it going then the day i was ment to take it into work for a warrent it started running crap!

I would be stoked with any idea's or help :)

Righto, so my engine running problem is the airflow meter, if you take it off it runs rich as anything down low but is mint when your above about 3500. took it for a hoon and was good!

Anyone have a z18et airflow meter spare around they would like to sell? an airflow meter is about the only z18et part i dont have :x

also took a video of a burnout but i cant get it onto the computer!

So.. a little bit of progress lately. went and picked up a new motor on saturday. Have dropped in the hole and it looks good. I made a gearbox crossmember today but i just need to go and get some longer high tensile bolts tomorrow then i'll make sure it all fits properly.

had to cut a decent amount out of the floor around the shifter for the motor to sit in the engine bay properly. or else the turbo hit the strut tower, the inlet plenum fouled the clutch master. and the sump was stupidy close the the swaybar. but all is well now. hopefully the gearbox doesn't hit the floor when i pop some clutch :)

hopefully by the end of the week i will have it fully mounted.

I am sending of my megasquirt sometime this week too so the dude can reconfigure it for ca18det and put a base tune on it.

I test fitted the driveshaft and it fitted up perfectly so i dont need to shorten it so im stoked!
