Hola Emanuel, bienvenido a nuestro foro.

:lol:

Although I assume that brassy speaks the lingo based on the reply. Or knows how to use http://www.translate.google.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hey peoples,

My name is Anthony and I have been living in Blenheim for the last few years. Originaly from Palmerston North and originaly a toyota fan. Owned a sr 35 coupe for a number of years. Then i sold and never forgave myself for doing so

Image.

Needed to buy some thing else old school so was talked into the datsun 1200's by my brother who has a 74(?) 1200 sedan.

I purchased an 85 datsun 1200 ute which has basically been molesterd in a good way for me

Image.

Plan to remove drum brakes for disc (any ideas here? - been told ke20 disc brakes fit in with not too much alterations), replace 4 speed for a 5 speed box (again, any ideas here - dont want to cut floor if i dont have to?) and then she's all sweet sailing.

Good to see a group who are inthusiastic about old girls. internet sites a great help too and love seeing all these car pictures. better up here than on TradeMe.

Mint and look forward to joining a car rally some time.
Cheers

Welcome dude, was keen on that ute!

I've been told Nissan Silvia S13 brakes are a decent upgrade with near minimal alteration (I have some I can't wait to get fitted and working).

You will want to try and source a 60a 5 speed Sunny gearbox (hard to find, although, Celica boxes can be made to work according to datsun1200.com with some work). If you don't move the mounts, you will have to get some adapters made to make it work (I moved my mounts and all good).
