Well, the heads off, and I've taken it to Entech to get pressure tested and skimmed.
I told them, just as little as possible, due to not knowing how much has already been taken off...

So now I've got to flush all the oil again, looks like some of the water got into it. :strangle:

In other news, Looks like I'm going to be buying my old Mini chopper back! Lol
The main reason is for cheap transport, and until Annie's all go. But at $400 ($200 less than I sold it to the guy) It's a steal.
But, also because I have another project one in storage, and You now have to VIN any moped to get it legal, Yes that's $280!!!
And with the 110cc motor, I know it wont pass... There's no way I'm buying a 50cc motor just to get it legal!

I think Annie is just torturing me now...

Got a call from my mate Tony at Entech and he told me that the head is softer than any they have seen in ages :deadhorse:
So, looks like I'm going to have to rip the one of the L18 from the coupe...
Which will mean a non complete motor in my shed, Yay!
Unless anyone has one cheap?

The A87 head from a SSS motor is the one you'll want to use.

A worked head has more chance of things like Recessed valves from having the clacker revved off it, and more chance of being soft from cook ups.

Would s13 rear hubs be a viable option for a rear disk conversion?
i might have access to a set at a reasonable price...

Probably unlikely, they are very different to all the 80s rear drive Datsuns/Nissans. They bolt on to the control arm then the axle has a male shaft that passes through the hub. You could look at R30 or similar stuff?

You'd probably need something with unboltable calipers brackets?
