With your accelerator pedal and cable assembly, grab one from an S13/14 etc
They are very easy to adapt, just need a couple of holes in the firewall and then you have a new style (off the floor) accelerator cable setup. Just use the datsport website tutorial as they use the same pedal setup.

Re: Datto_610's 180B Currently going back together
Acquired some keeper springs after work on friday to see if I could get things captive at full droop and they weren't cheap! . Borrowed some spring compressors off Vaughan and proceeded to put the keeper springs in. Only issue is the coils on my springs are to close together so couldn't fit the compressors on. Tried to just squish the keepers down and try and fit the camber plate back on but no go I took a few shots of the shock at its highest point and you can see how close it is to fitting. If I cant find any compressors that will fit may look into shortening the shock down instead, only needs about 25mm to be captive I think. May even work out cheaper than the keepers! Any thoughts??

OldSkool way is to tie the coils while they are on the car then remove them. If you did this at full height adjustment and weighed down you can probably get quite a bit of squash. Just lace them then release the weight and remove the shocks/coil overs. You could maybe find some way of compressing the keepers springs too. txt if you need a hand.
PS. I once saw inch by eighth used by bending a hook on each end at the right length and just clipping that on while the springs are compressed on the car. (Using a pair of 1 x 1/8 clamps)
Hope that helps.

Re: Datto_610's 180B Currently going back together
Been meaning to update my thread but keep procrastinating. Pretty sure I've solved my front suspension issues, had a chat to Nick on Sunday night and he reckond because I havn't welded my sleeve on yet that I just cut down the piece of tube holding it up so that I can fit my keeper springs on and bolt everything up. Took the tube into work and cut 50mm off it, tested it out when I got home and volia! Everything fits on and its all captive and full droop. Will do the otherside tomorrow and then I can test ride height A few weeks ago I got an oil catch can just a cheap one off trade me. Had to relocate washer bottle but nothing is permanent yet need to get my intake for the turbo made so I'll know where everything will go. Lewis re-covered my dash pad and it looks mean!! Will hopefully have the 180 back on the ground tomorrow sacked as

Hey Greg
Give me a PM if you don't use your keepers or if you want to flog them
Also if you want to try a different length / rate spring i have plenty of sets i have gathered for my own testing purposes that you are welcome to borrow
Progress looks great mate, Keep up the good work

First time ever I see spring set ups like this one. I am inclined to think this is a progressive or step suspension. The smaller springs are soft for city driving, but as soon as cornering and speed increase, suspension stiffens , am I right?

dont think so jamie. the small spring will compress while the vehicle is sitting on the road, but when jacked up and the suspension is allow to droop, the little spring will push down on the main spring to keep it captive and tight on the shock absorber

Sucess!!! Got the otherside all in and got the 180 back on the ground and holy crap its low!! Cross member is roughly 113mm off the ground. I can all ready hear people screaming out for more low but I think is pretty spot on, also bear in mind the tyres that are on it right now are 65's and Ill probably go with 55 or 50's which will bring it down a tad more. Anyway here's a rough pic of how it sits just need to lower the rear by about 2'' and suspension is almost completely done.
Also bought a 3'' 90 degree mandrel steel bend on friday for my dump pipe that Dan1200SSS is going to make for me, had a turbo flange that needed the bolt holes ground a bit Dan did that for me and it fits up all good now. So hopefully sometime soon we can trim it down and weld it up.
