Update:
Annie is all tuned, and running like a dream! purr's away nicely at about 1250 rpm lightly throbbing (Man I love the sound of the cam lol) Seeing as i still have the original valve seats (I only reground them) she needs a lil bit of lead, so 10Ltrs of ave every 2 tanks should do the trick!
I got some goodies for her off trademe today (Here in nelson too)
Update on those soon, but first...
Question:
Nissan Silvia (S13) Cefiro (A31) and Laurel (C33) front hubs are all the same...
And I've been told that (I can't remember if it was on here or not) that by changing the lower ball joint that you can fit them to the front control arms on a 910.
Is this true?
If so, do the sway bars line up?
And (If anyone has a clue) what did the ball joint that fitted come out of? lol
I know switching to a McPherson style strut front end will make it !,000,000 times easier to lower etc, (Adjusties anyone?) lol jokes
And give me upgraded brakes at the same time! Winning!
Thought's? Insite?

Re: 82' 910 Bluebird
Ok I'm gonna hold off doing any hub/brake/strut upgrade in the front for now, my brakes are mind as it stands atm.
And I've managed to find the last set of new cobra lowering springs to fit the front of my beast from the supplier!
With the cef ones that will bolt in the rear, she will be looking better.
(not to mention get rid of the positive camber in the rear thanks to the cef struts being a little longer than factory 910)
I have also found a nice set of rims for her at a good price, just got to get some rubber for em! lol (Pics to follow)
They won't be going on till shes got her ass closer to the ground tho..
I'd rather have her just pull out of the shed lower with new feet, not piece by piece!
Also, scored me a honeycomb grill too! (Along with spare bumper and quarter indicators)
Moving house next week, so my shed will no doubt be putting the squeeze on the lil ute hiding in there...
I'm doing my best to go thru and get rid of now unneeded things in there, before I pack it with more stuff lol.
Anyone after 180b SSS suspension? lol
I was gutted when I realized the other day that the guys who did the final stripping of the coupe CUT THE SWAY BAR AT THE HUBS instead of removing the brackets off the body... GRRRR!!!
Last time I let anyone else do anything like that for me!! Even if I'm in a rush...

Re: 82' 910 Bluebird
So.. all settled in my new place.
The lil ute is packed tight with everything else..
Got Annie her new feet tho! I ended up paying the little bit extra for the rubber that was already on them (Once I realized what they were)
So, I have a practically brand new set of Avanti 'Takashi' 15x7's Wrapped nicely in brand new Toyo Proxy T1R rubber!
All for $800!! So, that's $1200 worth of rims and $1000+ worth of new rubber! SCORE!!
Here's a pic to keep you all happy...
(I know I said I wouldn't put them on till I get her ass lower to the ground, well It is, just not the front end lol) Getting springs for the front next week

Re: 82' 910 Bluebird
So the Cobra's for the front of Annie turned up yesterday..
Had to ask around for a set of compressors because my mate had lost his. lol
Finally got a pair, jacked her up, pulled the hub/strut assembly off and compressed and removed the spring.
Opened the box for the first time... and to my disappointment, you can guess the rest.
I measured everything and by my calculations their for a 610 strut (Despite being listed for ONLY the 910's????)
I'm going to my shed to confirm this suspicion this afternoon. the part # is: CNFL-259 (Cobra)
So... Now I get the pleasure of ringing the supplier and abusing the F**K out of them! and try to find the right ones..
But, while I had them OE ones out I did measure the top and bottom diameter (160mm OD) and the length of the captive spring on the strut out of the car (242mm) so I have a rough sizing to go by.
On a lighter and much sexier note:
I had this beautiful little 1968 1600 Roadster come through work on saturday... Imported from the USA by the current owner. He told me he had to jump through SOOO many hoops to VIN it, he almost gave up... I'd say the speedo has been around it's 100tho clock because its only showing 5,324 miles
(He may have reset it upon importing it, who knows) I'll tell you this tho, it was tidy as! I'd never seen one in person before, but I still know what a tidy car looks like! lol
The only mod's to it I could see was the oil pressure, voltmeter & water temp gauges on the passengers side. Oh and a set of extractors lol

Re: 82' 910 Bluebird
Well unfortunitly Annie is no more...
I dont know exactly what happened, but i blacked out or fell asleep or had a seizure on the way to work yesterday, on the highway at 100kph...
I hit something solid (a tree or a post) and she flipped on her roof.
Apsolute write off!
On the good side, i was cut out through her drivers door, with only minor scratches and bruises!
I've got a vary sore shoulder (from the seatbelt, and hanging upside down for 10+mins)
And no one else was hurt! (thank god!) as i have no insurance...
I'll put up some pics when I get home tonight, but shes buggered.
Motor looks to be ok, and ill asses it and see if i can get it running in a couple of weeks.
Im going to part her out, so if anyones after anything let me know...
Really gutting, as i now have nothing for the top of the south cruise.
