You must be relieved to have the hard lines done. I hated doing mine with a passion. It was a turd of a job.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Hell yes Bart, if you have done it yourself you know what a c#nt it is.
so happy that I am finished underneath (well 99% at least), all thats left to
do underneath is fill diff with oil, bolt in panhard rod when its made, and
final connections from tank to new hard lines/pump.
did a few hours on car today. finished my new coil pack & vacuum manifold
alloy mounts, then spent over 2 hours on a dye grinder match porting the
manifold to the 4AGE ITB's and head inlet ports. My spindly office worker
arms were still quivering / shaking when I was drinking my third pint at
the ale house tonight....

Re: Kitchs 1200 Coupe - VROOM VROOM!!!!.....
My order from Phils Rotary parts in Australia has turned up.
Door & windscreen rubber, gearbox fork rubber & bonnet stops.
the only new rubbers I have to get now are the overpriced front quarter windows (AU$170 each...)
I know a few of you guys are interested, so here are pics of the repro coupe vents.
I got the black plastic ones. they are great quality, and match perfectly the originals.
I am contemplating leaving them black, rather than paint matching the car, as they may
contrast nicely and compliment the black ABS golf spoiler.

Hey Si, good to hear from you.
Yeah, might keep them black, as always easier to jam them later.
hope things all going well over there for you mate.

Re: Kitchs 1200 Coupe - VROOM VROOM!!!!.....
Not much really to report. but I am getting closer to starting up the EFI.
Manifold nearing completion, Just a little dye-grinding, and polishing required and also the injector pockets need welded in and ground back inside the inlet runners to suit.
I have spent the last few smoko's over the previous few days at work on the drill press, and have step bored the fuel rail and now mocked it all up. got all my fuel fittings and lines. so only thing holding me up really is getting my mate to weld in the pockets.
Pretty stoked at how it is all coming together - The engine bay layout / detailing is coming up exactly as i had planned / hoped
Little bit of soft porn pic's for you itb fiend's out there.....
