So I finally have my manifold finished....
Been well over two years in the making!!!
After having the injector pockets welded in, I had spent quite a bit of time finishing the porting to match the head ports, and also the throttle bodies.
I had a slight misalignment issue to overcome, but thank fully a slight slot in the mount holes and wee bit more grinding on #3 & #4 inlet runners sorted that out.
Unfortunately I had a problem on #1 where the inlet runner must have been welded to the mount flange down about 1-2mm too low, so when I dye grinded the hole out to the oval shape, I put a wee hole through the tube on the top, on inspection it was paper thin around a 20mm section at top of tube, so had to have a large blob of weld put on top to repair. obviously it is hard to get a small bead of weld on alloy, so ended up with a big blob on top, which was a bit disappointing, but I don't want to let it get me down, so have just moved on (maybe able to grind back and polish later of course)
The manifold has only had a quick hand sand & polish, and down the track I will have it machine polished.
I am having a few porblems with making up my AN6 fuel lines, trying to cut the braided lines with thin cut off wheel, so wires dont fray and flare at the ends, but I cant see how these lines will fit inside the captive nut on the aeromotive style fitting... If I struggle to get sorted, I will use rig up temp rubber fuel hose, barb fittings & hose clamps for testing.
I hope to get wiring temporary connected today, and fingers crossed all going well get fuel system commissioned...
Finally the manifold mounted:

Looks sweet man. The fuel lines should go together really easy if everything is the right size, are you wrapping the line with electrical tape before you cut it? I've only ever done it with a fine toothed hacksaw blade, they can be a bit of a pain the ass but look/work sweet when they are finished.
I've also had to put something round into the line to get it back into shape to go on the barb as well, I found a screwdriver that was the perfect size and jammed that in there.

SUCCESS!!!!
Managed to get first connection done properly, I actually took about 0.5mm off internal diameter of nut, and taped end of line with tight insulation tape, to make a conical kind of shape, then cut away excess tape, and managed to work it in to the nut. when I did it up the nut moved in about 12mm from where I started, and the braided line migrated about 5mm, so I am confident I have a good seal. but will test all fuel system for leaks before firing up.
Also just mounted up the ITB's and test fitted injectors and fuel rail.
also ran my silicon vacuum signal lines to the manifold unit
also fitted filter and feed line from hard lines to the fuel rail
I am quietly fizzing......
startup this afternoon is actually a REAL possibility
