I still have no water. Only just got the net back on too.
The worst road damage is just around the corner from my house. It's gonna be a long time before everything has been fixed.

we've had water and sewerage the whole time but our block did get power till about lunchtime today despite power being on for the rest of hornby. we came back from brockys last night and seriously a block in any direction of my house had power
I think hornby has pretty lucky as a whole, theres practically no damage, a few chimneys fallen over and thats it.
We went for a drive today round Barts area and I couldn't get over the amount of silt!

Chimney moved another couple inches out from last nites 1/2 dozen after shocks and heavy wind. PLenty of cracks inside the house amd one on the outside of the house. And front brick fence looks like it gonna make a run for it to.

you should get up there and push that chimney over chris.....before it happens when your not expecting it

Man im sorry to hear hopefully the cracks arnt going to be a major to fix. After driving around having a look Dan and I consider ourselves very lucky to have no damage at all to the house or surrounding property. I never really thought anything this big would happen in Chch.

oh and Chris is the 140J ok?
