I have plenty of earplugs if anyone needs them. I wore some for part of the Akaroa cruise. (And I wore them regularly when I owned my RX3 coupe.

Kaikora could be cool......but what about somewhere south?
we have talked about it before.....and also as we have more other members from down south that we could do a mission their way

Where south though? The road south is kinda long straight and boring as hell. (And pretty heavily policed too)
I've never done that inland road, so I'm quite excited at the prospect.

I like the thought of South but am with Bart Boring roads. Maybe we could do Placemakers at Levels or something, I know you guys used to do the Fest of Speed trip to Dunners, shame that is not a go, or Maybe we could hit Teretonga, now that would be a Mish!! Ian in Invercargill would be keen as for that! But for a cruise South we have to travel a fair way to find roads like those in the Waiau and Kaikoura area. Twisty and deserted!!! and all sealed now days.

Last time i did inland road was when they had all the flooding and slips and the road was closed (= no police) although I did have to sneak around the road closed sign and there were a few corners that I flew round and what do ya know there is a big digger in the way but the mighty ute made it up ok...............great road

When I was with Bimmersport with my E30
they planned a trip down to Timaru to conincide with racing at Levells Raceway.
I didn't make it but it sounded like a great day, Pretty shit drive though.

A mate (Allan Taylor) was telling me all about this event last night. He reckoned it was on the 20th tho?
Anyhoo, is that the bit of raod which included "candy's bend"? That corner was too dodgey heading south. Very nearly bought it there towing Dad's boat behind one of my vals.
