Just wondering if the whole pedal box has to come out? Not a conversion I have done but it would surprise me if Mr Datsun had two totally different pedal boxes, I thought you would have been able to just swap pedals over, can this not be done in place? That makes this a bigger job. Keep up the good work.

Problem is no one has the clutch pedal and brake pedal by itself, they are usually sold with the pedal box, they hav a longer bolt etc to fit 3 pedals.

So the pedals aren't interchangeable? The metal folded into the box shape is different? amazing, One thing I have appreciated about Datsuns is the interchangeability of parts and them not seeing the need to reinvent the wheel for each model variant.

Blair that drive shaft came up OK, I just used one of those paint stripping woven wheel things, then gave it a rub with some 800 grit wet n dry
I got the new pedal box in, just needed to cut a couple of studs of, and drill new holes for the 4 bolts from the brake booster mount block.
Should get box in tonight an back down on the ground - I better cause Karen gettng shitty with her car parked outside in the rain

Finally got gearbox in last night, and connected up drive shaft.
few we jobs left, like installing starter motor, modifing gearbx mounts,
minor wiring changes etc, should have on the ground and ready for road test in a couple of days
Got the pedal box all in - was straight forward exercise in the end (thanks heaps Scotty BRDFLU)
