go with a falken 195/45r15. They are legally allowed on a 15x8 wheel and can get the paperwork from falken to show that's how they were designed
them on my ute

Got some tyres on - 195/50/15. Rubs on inner foot well while its low on cuties full lock
Will get tie rods machined with 20mm or so more thread to pull wheel further forward, then it should be sweet for the eventual coil over kit to make it low. Pictures with standard guards.
Have rolled lip up and guard has had a small roll

Finished rolling guards, tred in rear is well in and rim is poking out a little bit
hopefully will be sweet
got the weights in the rear. will get leafs reset 2'' i think. and lift front up 1''
Does anyone know where to get leafs done in wellington/wairarapa region?

Good day of progress.
Inside of doors, hinges and tops of guards sprayed green and finished.
Car in primer, will be sanded back and have high fill primer hopefully soon

booth was set to about 16-17 with sunshine and slight breezes lol
It actually turned out pretty good, no bugs or anything so pretty happy overall

my old 1200 sedan was painted on a wetted down gravel driveway on a spring day with a gentle breeze.
came up better than some booth jobs my painter had previously done!

I would strongly recommend against machining your tie rods- they break and the only thing left holding your wheel is the little sway bar pedestal!!
I was very lucky, it happened at low speed but I have seen the nett result of them breaking at high speed and its not pretty!
If you wish to do this properly you really need a rod end on the end of the tie rod. Have a look on the Pit Road website, they do some and they could be easily replicated.
The other thing is that unless you have a rod ends on your bottom arms or are very clever at redrilling/slotting the mount holes in the crossmember all you are going to achieve is effectively causing the bottom arms to bind up which has the nett effect of inducing understeer.Those standard bushes are not designed to have the arm pulled forward.
