bit of an update:
-skimmed front discs, deglazed pads and lubed calipers = no more brake shudder
-replaced control arm balljoints, i noticed the steering arms dont have the ideal taper angle, so the balljoint will prematurely wear out, it became a huge dilemma when i wanted to fix it and pulled the whole front end apart, but id have to find a set of better steering arms to cure it, so it stays as it is.
-removed diffhead to check ratio and condition(was replaced before i bought it as had a locker in it), fitted and sealed diffhead, checked and adjusted rear brakes. still have only half brake pedal travel, may be a master cylinder or booster fault.
went to hamilton yesterday to pick up my car trailer:

its been a month, but ive been getting some jobs on the list done for the wagon:
- replaced rear shoes and drums
- oil and filter
- new fuel hoses
- get boot light to work
- get boot release cable to work
- replace carb float needle and seat
- fit carpet from 910 sss sedan
extractors from a 1600 didnt fit under the firewall, so am currently repairing exhaust manifold flange leak, and replacing exhaust pipe and rear muffler. no extractors and 2inch mandrel bent exhaust
pics to come, have some front end panelwork to complete soon!
