Second hand battery purchased, and rewired my temporary earth.
Got it cranking over
It wasnt firing, and had bugger all fuel pressure (would only get to 20 PSI when I hard wired the fuel pump and let it run for a while) , so ended up pouring another 5-6 litred of gas in, and away it went @ 45 psi (to be fair I was concerned my new pick up point was sitting a bit high).
and No fuel leaks - yay!
Still not firing, played round with the Megatune software, and got to the output screen, and forced fuel pump on, and test cycled the injectors, I could hear them clicking away, so confident wiring is all OK.
When I cranked again it fired away a couple of times
But then it wouldn't fire again (assume the fuel from the test cycle had been sucked in), by this stage it was dark outside and battery was drained again.... so called it a night
My diagnosis, is that the VR sensor maybe not working properly, as the RPM signal is very fluctuating when it is cranking (jumps from zero, up near 270 rpm, and various numbers in between, but perhaps the software doesnt "smooth" the signal?), and think that either this or some other setting is preventing the injectors cycling during cranking?
Any thoughts guys?
