Pretty boring, but the main Fab work is done, just need a few internal braces and welded in

Fits up nice and straight

End caps on both ends , Radius Rod Brackets align up nicely

From this angle its almost impossible to know its not the factory part

I need to put some internal reinforcing Gussets across the inside and I still need to make the plates with the nuts welded to them.

does anybody know what type of Nut I can weld to ?

any steel nut can be welded but can get quite hot and fuk the threads a bit, drilling and tapping some round bar is better, or if you know someone with the kit, nutserts are also good.

Would I need to sand off the coating or should i just weld direct to it ? , I might do a couple of test runs to make sure it dosn't ruin the threads

Just make sure you have a bolt all the way through the nut before you start welding, this will help to stop them deforming.

As long as the nut is steel and not galved you should be okay to weld it with no sanding.

definately have a bolt screwed in while you are welding it. My old man reckons that there must be some kind of gravity field created around holes when welding. He always complaines that bits of welding splatter always seem to end up stuck into holes when he's welding stuff. I imagine that splatter in a thread wont do it much good.

Crossmember all welded in, I shot it up with a bit of Chassis underbody stuff. I know i will need to touch it up after I weld on the top section but thats no problem.

Started to Panel Beat the top half, it was wrinkeled up pretty bad but i have it pretty striaght now.

I will probally throw some of Chassis underbody stuff so the imperfections wont be noticeable.

Hopefully this will be all finished by Sunday Night, Im getting Impatient to play with some Rear Brakes :D

Thank Christ this Nightmare is over

F**ing Done :D

Its been chassis Under Sealed on the inside of both pieces before welding, bottom is all fully chassis sealed , and the top needs a bit of bog and to be painted body colour

Does anybody know a good place to car paint mixed up into an aerosol can ?

I don't need such a hidden an unseen part to be mint but It will definitly needs to be body colour so that it dosn't look stupid
