Had to drill out some spot welds and remove the rear seat belt bracket thing underneath then used a big hammer. I mounted bumpstops on the diff that hit the chassis rails.

Those new wheels look sick, what size are they, and tires? Did you buy the wheels new?

I think underneath a coupe may be different, firstly I don't even have rear seatbelts haha. I think there is a rear bar that looks like part of the chassis above the diff. I'll see.
cheers, wheel are 14x7.5 front, 14x8.5 rear. rear tyres are 185/55's, front are 185/50's. but I may change the fronts to 195/45s cause I have a pair lying around. Got em off trademe. just got em polished real good by a guy here in Auckland.

Motor decided to let go the other day! Which is lame because I dont have anywhere to do another motor swap or any work! Lame but ohwell. I'll quietly look around for a forged short block then i'll put all my stuff on it and then time for a dyno tune! Will update when I get another motor!

Put in a new motor last weekend.. had no compression when I tried to start it. Was a wickedly blown headgasket. 0 compression on 3 cylinders!
Changed the headgasket but then had a killer leak out between the head and block.. whipped the head off again, turned out I didn't put the extra O ringaround the main oil gallery to the head. So put a new headgasket in today and got it all going again! I'll email the megasquirt dude in Tauranga and see when I can drop it off to him for dyno tuning!
Here's hows the ol girls looking.

Cheers dirtyleppa!
If all goes well I'll be dropping the ol datto off to the dyno next weekend! I'll be pumped to have it running nice and hopefully putting down a reliable 250whp!

Picked the old sheila up from the dyno today. I'm pumped on how nice its running. It made 200hp at 9psi, and 227 at 11psi. for some reason it just wouldn't boost anymore than that.. But we went for a drive to make some normal driving adjustment and changed a T piece for the boost solenoid and then it was boosting! So tomorrow I'm going to crank some more boost in, maybe up to 20, but I'll stop before then if its frying 3rd easily. Judging by the gains from 9-11psi, it should make 300hp at around 18pound, hopefully..
But I'm pretty stoked On those power figures for the low boost, and how driveable the turbo is.

impressive figures mate - congrats.
dont fall in love with driving @ 18-20 pounds boost, or you will be posting up for yet another motor wanted to buy !
