Long time, and not a lot has happened, but today I managed to get the front end a lot closer to being finished, thanks to brocky, I had a whole bunch of brake parts to install. Friday I sandblasted and painted the callipers, and yesterday I reconditioned them with all new seals and rubbers, today the struts came back out and the new inserts were installed, these were machined down by 50 mm by Bart's dad, to make the springs captive, and he has done a great job. Had a bit of a headache as I somehow managed to spread all the hardware for the brake conversion to all corners of the garage, managed to get it all together and assembled in the end. So struts have been assembled for the last time and brakes are bolted on,all the bearings are greased and ready to go. I have had to write myself a note to order up a bunch of new split pins and check all the bolts and nuts before I can tick it all off as finished. Oh and longer wheel studs as the old ones were to short by the time the s13 discs went over the hubs.

Hey all, now that the BBQ trailer has been painted, and sausages cooked, I have found some time to make and install the brake lines, bled them up last night and now have working brakes again, for the first time in 15 odd years, although I may need to check some of the flares as I have fluid seeping from the tee in the engine bay. Still, progress is being made again.

I drove past yesterday and saw it parked in front of where the magic happens.
It's hard to imagine this car actually being on the road. It's been such a long time coming.........

Although it would nice to see another Z on the road, the brown coupe should take next priority; Ruth said ;)

BTW it was great catching up the other day day, and cheers for storing those seats. Also great to see the 2 door in the flesh :D FYI I'll hopefully be able to pick up that gearbox this weekend prior to us flying back :)

Just to keep things rolling along, I started mounting the fuel pump, stoked that my pullmax will cut through 3mm plate like a knife through butter.
