After a nearly 2 1/2 month wait

Some Bling finally turned up

Image

Image

Goes really far negative before the spring hits the inside of strut tower, front camber will never be an issue again

Also got one of these phenolic thermal intake manifold spacers, this was thrown in as a freebie due to my patience with my parts taking a ridiculous amount of time to turn up.

Image

I have an Inlet Air Temp probe hooked in to my data logger unit so i will be able to give some hard evidence that it actually lowers intake air temperatures or not. - looks well made and is supposed to be worth $80 us and it came with bolts and gasket maker.

Diff is still at the engineers, he is taking is time :(

EDIT > mail man really likes my place this week.

Mega Heavy Duty Polyurethane reinforced Z31parts.com diff mount

And some Badass Stop tech FMVS-106 / DOT approved Braided brake lines ( actually for a s13 180sx )

Image

Diff mount picture above is actually for a OEM stock ugly low capacity cover, so i made a new L bracket, drawings have been prepared so the manufacturer for this diff mount can offer this as an option to the other dudes in the USA with 300zx Z31 Cars.

Got off my Arse and fitted these up

Still gutted car wasn't at this stage 2 months ago like it should have been

Image

I would suggest with reasonable confidence that a S13 180 / 200sx braided brake line will fit a lot of diffierent nissan/datun models . And they are cheap off ebay.

So with the LSD all in the Car pretty much ready to go I thought i better get a rattle on and make a safety Drive shaft Loop

Its 50x5 Flat bar bent , with removable lower plate and additional gussets. Despite the fact that i started to make it Already i have emailed this drawing to the Certifier.

This will sit about 75mm behind the universal joint and as far as i know i have designed it beefy enough to meet specifications.

Random Bearing and Piece of thin alloy is to simulate the final thing

Got the nod from the LVVTA cert guy for my design.

He told me to use only 2 bolts each side not 3

3 seems stronger but I will do what I'm told

Driveshaft loop has been a pain in the ass but nothing I can't handle.

Image

I had the drill the bolt holes much higher up than i expected due to the sheet metal on the inside of the cabin, so that meant that my lower plate was only a few millimeters from the drive shaft.

After a bit of Redesigning this is what i came up with.

Image

I am going to take this to the boys down the road to get it replicated it one single piece to make life easier with the LVVA cert guy and avoid NDT crack testing

I sill need to make a 100x100x6 plate for the inside of the cabin to spread the load from the bolts, There is enough room.

Image

you can now see why i had to drill them so high up

Right

Got it finished up, High Tensile Bolts, spring washers on each end - Should do the job nicely

Another Job Crossed off the Cert To Do List.
