Did 12 hours sunday, and 11.25 hours today. Was sent to investigate some CSR's that came in, and we just didn't know where to start. There was so much damage that the thought of having to fix it was a little overwhelming.
If silt was gold, then the streets of CHCH would be paved with the stuff.

Seeing it all on TV still makes it hard to imagine. All the stuff we take for granted.

Me and chris were talking about if our cars got crushed. I reckon if my 1200 had been crushed I would have packed it in. 5 years and god knows how much fabrication into the shell alone, let alone any other parts of the car. I'd just walk away, it would completely destroy me.
I can't begin to imagine what some of the guys with their oldschool projects that have been destroyed would be feeling right now. Its not like its a subaru or beemer that you just jump on trademe and get another thats exactly the same.

I spent he day helping my mates empty out there tattoo shop tha has fallen down. They managed to retrieve everything with only a couple of broken picture frames and nic nacs.
While we were removing the contents the cops turned up and spoke with us and said he has arreseted 4 people out the back of thier shop trying to break in. He said there has just been so much burglary and looting goin on
I despise people who take advantage of other peoples misfortune. A bullet to the head should be the punishment for that crime

Didnt get much sleep last night . close to a dozen aftershocks that shock the house prettty good. Mrs got pretty upset.

I was having a shower when the 5.2 struck last night. That was interesting. Then about 10 mins later a 5.4 struck about midnight.
wifey just said another 5.4 struck last night at 4:20am but it didn't wake us up.
its pretty funny that 5.4 isn't even enough to wake us any more. A week ago we probably would have shit bricks.

man we watch the news every night and are shocked at what is goin on thoughts are with you guys hope the qaukes finish soon ........
