Man, once I have that going I'd be getting an overdose of Vit. C
That's got to be the goal, but it will have to wait in line. I'm getting through the list, I am still hopeful I might have a 240Z for someone to rent that doesn't make it getting their car ready for the Nats
This is a shot of it across the inlet from Akaroa.

Do it Kitch, You should treat Karen, you know she wants you to
What better gift, a romantic drive to Akaroa in a classic sports car, she'd love you for it.

One step closer, Clean sheeted a Wof on the Z today, wee bit of touch up, (Thanx to it's only outing, to a NZDatsun BBQ), and it is all good to go. That's 3 from 3 with clean sheets, got to be happy with that.

You own old cars you have to expect trouble
But it always seems to be the newest car, the Aussie one that gives the problems. Probably $2000 this month
Called on a friend the other day, she commented it must cost a lot to keep an old car (My 1200) going, she had a VW Golf, and said it cost her a fortune, she couldn't afford to run it. I boasted, Nah it's a Datsun, cost me nothing in 2 years. Famous last words, Had to fork out for a manifold gasket this week.
I have been studying and the old girl has had to sit and wait, was so good to get into it yesterday for the first time in a month or so
Loving it!

No update on the 1200 unfortunately. the goal had been to throw a 5 speed in for Christmas, but I ended up having to rush South and didn't have it changed over so had to drive the Commodore, Booh, Booh.
One good thing of heading south was finding a picture of my first Datsun
Where it began for me:

Yes I did have hair once
You checking out my styles? I have uncovered another pic, I think it shows my skin tight, squeeze me in and sew up the fly, acid wash jeans.
Possibly a little later, I bought the car in January of '85. By the time this photo was taken I was rocking an A14 and 5speed, yes even back then, with tuned extractors. I had to fit the Sunny rims to get the speedo to read accurately and preserve any hearing I had left.
This thing was good for 200 klicks and still returned 41mpg, that's about 7l/100 in todays language I think.
I'm not sure who had the colour camera Kitch
May just have been the colour of the car was so loud the film couldn't resist
