As mentioned above, abit of progress has been made over the last couple of months or so.

The new rear quarters have been here for a while now, they are nicely stored in the crate one of them came in.

The engine crossmember and both SR and 1200 wiring looms were sent to maddat to be spliced together.
Those came back plus all things needed to mount the engine gearbox etc and other parts to make it run.
Lets say it was around the 5K mark to get all that done but its still worth it.

We dummy mounted the engine just to see what its going to look like in its new home :dance2:
Heres some pics of that...

So with a whole lot of parts to play with we will make progress on the ute over summer then its on to panelbeating next year :highfive:

You're in the right city to do such a conversion too.
Lots of peeps round these parts to help make it a reality if you need any help.

Been awhile since any update here, not much has gone on with the ute but it has all the running gear removed, been mounted on a dolly for gearbox tunnel welding.

When this is complete it will be off to rotovages for stripping of all paint and underseal.

Will post some pics when that has been done.

Had a roadtrip yesterday :burnout:

Ute was taken to rotorua for the stripping process, depends on how busy the guys are over there we might get it back before xmas.

Will look abit different when its picked up. Rear quarters will be cut off in the new year ready for the new ones to be welded on ;)
