Started with cleaning up the body, and doing a 'Garth spec' paint job to tidy it up.... although should have just blown it down in enamel........... took me 3x cans just to do roof & C pillars!!! and still a bit patchy in places. Oh well committed now, although was thinking white roof, bonnet & boot, and black doors & guards might be the go... but best for all if I just persevere with the white.

Got engine running good, but going to ditch the A14 emission spec carb off it, and put a conventional A15 carb on it. all water & exhaust leaks repaired too.

Plan is to keep chipping away at it over Xmas hol's & get it in for WOF in new year

Can't see too much from the photo, and I was a bit sceptical but I am now a believer, looks really good Kitch.

it was a very strategic photo of course..... as bit of work to do yet

but I am confident it will look heaps better by the time its all white, and running different wheels (it will be a different car thankfully).

have done a wee bit on the red car too.

Have shortened up the rear bilstein shocks so they are all captive now.
fixed the front passenger window that had fallen off the mechanism to.

Took into Autoalign to suss out front shocks. but nett result I only have about 25-30mm of travel.

In the new year I am going to have to cut & shut the strut housings, and retofit some shorter inserts to suit....

still need to tune it a bit better as idling too high still - hope Vaughan might be down this way in the new year ;)

haha love it! how many cans did you end up using? I needed 21 to do the sedan...and I still think its a bit thin in places. luckily repco had a 3 for $12 deal going on so it only cost me like $90 to do the whole thing

Have done bonnet & roof, front valance & front guards half done.
taken about 6 cans so far.

year like my hair its a bit thin in places too....

think I will be looking at about 15 cans to complete..... should have just got some enamel and blown it down with next door neighbours compressor - oh well....

looking at about $200 to tidy it up for paint & consumables I guess. its only to make it look more presentable it is not a long term paint job.
