So, I have quit my job, and finish in a few weeks, worked out I had a sick day owing,
and after exchanging texts with Luke last night, on our lack of progress on our coupes,
decided I best use my sick day up and get some friggin work done on my car!

So I spent a couple of hours completing the short block assembly and dropped the motor
in the hole, not really a priority but felt it was a milestone to get it in, and means I can
continue doing the wiring and radiator fit out and the likes.

Then spent about 6 tedious hours cleaning interior and laying down my Dynamat Superlite
As expected the 10 sheets (45 sq. feet) did not go as far as I hoped. taken 7 of my 10
sheets to do what you see in the photos, and I want to do the boot floor, and under
the back seats, also thinking about doing door inners, and maybe even the roof. I am
conscious of the weight I am adding, hence why I went for superlite. probably about 10kg
added to the car so far. I am going to lay some closed cell foam over everything, probably
10-12mm thick or the likes. I want this car to be nice and comfortable (& quiet) when I
get it on the road, and finally go on some cruises with the family!

Hope to keep the motivation going!

Finished applying the Dynamat today.
got complete floor done, up to the back seat, firewall and also
kick panel areas by the A pillars. got the floor and wheel well
done too.
Had one piece 5cm x 5cm left over!!! so think I might leave it
at that. May decide to do the door panels later on, but that
does not need to be done yet anyway.

Got my replacement head delivered tonight so I may get that
cleaned up nad installed along with clutch & gearbox over
the weekend all going well.

That dynamat is colourful isn't it.
How much weight do you reckon it's added?
And, more importantly, how much?
This build is looking great.....Nice paint colour too.
Good work kitch.

Dynamat superlite, is not that heavy, although I forgot to weigh before i applied.
But looking on line Dynamat extreme is 0.45 lbs/foot, and superlite is meant to
be 20-30% lighter than that, so 48 foot pack = approx 8kg I have added to the car.
I am not running any sounds, so its not to enhance music listening pleasure, its
just to reduce some road noise etc, plus it looks bling!

Costs about $430 in NZ, for this bulk pack (12 sheets @ 4 ft sq each) I sourced
through ebay and it cost me NZ$293 landed.
