Yeap, or raise it up to a height where the camber is within spec.

Re: James 85 300zx
i can see why. its just gonna end up costing heaps more to get through cert. now we have to provide a wheel alignment document when going for cert

Thats the first i've heard of it. Thats such a cock of a rule.
Thats pretty much kills the chance of ever having a road registered track day toy

Haha i was just thinking about cars with a solid rear end.. that's going to suck. because i guarantee that 20,30,40 years of driving there is no way that they are going to be within spec

It would have been better if it was up to the Cert guys discretion as the whole point of an LVVTA Cert is to have cars that are not factory specification.nick_m wrote:Thats the first i've heard of it. Thats such a cock of a rule.

It seems like we are now taking a modified car and asking the modified suspension to work to factory alignment.
Now i don't have a problem with that provided it is s the best thing on that particular car but often it wont be.
I know i was being a bit Ricer boy racer wanting to take a photo of some slammed and camber but i never thought it would be so much of a hassle !
At least we all know about it and it wont be a surprise on cert day.
I think perhaps i will invent in some of my own "oldschool" Manual alignment equipment as acording to the rules i will have to change it every other day depending on WOF, Road,Tires and Autocross / Track
The Answer to your Question is NEEDS MORE VG30
Re: James 85 300zx
Once again a case of a minority killing it for the Majority that keep it sensible, Look at the exhaust laws.
Be some cheap Rota wheels up for sale shortly all those crazy 17x10 that the minorty squeeze on the front with camber -hahaha ha
Agree with ya there , i have all the parts for an adjustable rear end and planned to run some camber on the road for more visual reasons than anything else and dial it out once things get more serious at the track.85_Z31 wrote:nick_m wrote:Thats the first i've heard of it. What about the front. My 710s have positive camber on the front does this mean im going to have to stick with the positive camber 1degree neg camber i don't even think would get me to zero.

Re: James 85 300zx
I know^^ Thats the fucked thing, heaps of old cars with crossplys standard had factory specs of say +.5 to +2deg for example. Hows that going to work!
I wonder if this rule will apply to the average 50 year old taking his 57 bel air in for cert. Somehow I think not.
I reckon it should be at the discretion of the certifier as it had always been, it seemed to work fine up till now?
