50 kmh on rollerblades isnt that dangerous, I got up to 90kmh behind a gsx400 in front of the town hall, needed a change of undies though, and never did it again, ( I was also about 17 and stupid ). but had been skating since I was about 8

Roller blades/skates are dodgey cos you can't bail. At least with a skateboard you can jump off and try run your speed off. Although a friend of mine got cheese grated so badly when a downhill run went bad he had to visit the hospital to get patched up afterwards. (Lucky he only lived down the road at the time) I bombed the same hill, (on a shortboard) and only just managed to pull it. Only afterwards did I learn it was the same hill that my mate had gotten destroyed on.
