brocky, get a job at the sydenham BNT (thats the one work uses) they had a really good guy there and he left, now its just a bunch of girls that dont know what they are doing!

Picked head up after work today. She's all ready to go back on. The work carried out consisted of: acid wash, surface head, face seats/valves and assembly. Lifters have been bled and there was no need to weld it up as they were able to die grind it smooth. It's all pacakaged up at the moment so will wait til Sunday to get a photo.

You must be itching for startup round 2 Greg, nice to see all your hard work paying off. And now you have peace of mind knowing the top end has been done, probably a good idea anyway on an engine that's been sitting a while

Yeah man for sure. Not too bothered about spending more than I hoped at least I do have the piece of mind that the head is all good now. Will get some bits for Sunday after work today. Still tossing up whether to do the cams while they're out or just chuck em back in. Someone convince me to have super lumpy idle!

dont people use a ca16 or ca18ex cam on intake side for a little more duration
IIRC its something like 8 deg so no lumpy idle
