The roof has had all its ripples etc taken out and smoothed and etch primed ready for some high fill primer, the rear pillars and a pillars have recieved the same treatment as has the scuttle panel and bootlid.

so the next logical thing to seemed to be to sit the motor and box in, and see how much room i do or dont have and start making a plan for engine mounts gearbox x member etc. so starting at the front the intercooler and radiator are mounted

As you can see the engine bay is smaller than you would think and with the current firewall hole size the powerglide wont fit either.

Ive also started making plans for the boot for the fuel system etc. The factory fuel tank has been ditched and the filler flap welded and smoothed. The plan now is a 40l alloy fuel cell recessed into a false floor in the boot with all the pumps, lines and wiring hidden from sight under the floor, obviously the will be an inspection panel for changing filters etc. :P The fuel cell has two -10 feeds and two -6 returns hopefully this is enough. I plan on running two bosch 044 pumps with dash 10 lines to custom primary and secondary fuel rails, i already have the injectors for the engine. 2x 850cc primarys and 2x indy blue 1680cc secondarys hopefully this is enough  Heres the template for the floor, i plan on using 3mm alloy for this.

Ill get some more pix up in the newt wee while

Been a bit slack on the updates but heres some progress. The roof and pillars have been paneled and etch primed as has part of the boot and rear quarters. Have sat the motor in place with the box behind it to start planning mounts etc.

The slicks i had were to small so i now have 26x10.5s mounted on old school tridents!! The rear guards have been cut to allow the bigger tyre and the inner tub have been heated, stretched and re welded to suit. Im goin to run a 4in flare to tie it all together, hopefully it looks the part. The engine and trans are now mounted, the engine sits on a steel plate which acts as a block brace and a engine mount at the same time while still retaining the factory windage baffling. the trans sits on a cutom x member made out of 60x30mm box section. The sump will need to be custom to clear the x member and give more capacity etc. I have also got a pair of "road" wheels which are sportmaxx sm522's 15x8s.
