I see no problem with people buying things for cheap, and onselling for a profit.....hes not here trying to make millions like maldat.
the only reason youd have a problem with it, is the fact that you know what he got it for.....if you didnt know....you wouldnt have a problem....you forget that gas to go and pick the car up and back with a car trailer probably cost him over $100, plus maybe trailer hire....and having to fork out for service station feeds......if he didnt sell any parts from it......he'd be running quite a big loss......not a gain.
I agree tho, if he had already told you he'd sell something to you for a set price, then it should stay that way (unless you gave the impression of not being interested anymore).
and he didnt buy the car for the sole purpose of making a dollar.....his original intentions were to restore it, however it deemed un-fiananciable to do so (you can restore any car with enough $)
