I think it was roughly about $300-350 including all the locking castors and the machining of the boss and insert that I got done.hsepwr wrote:That spit is great. Any idea in how much $ materials cost to build it if you dont mind me asking. The mrs old man wants to build one
Hope that helps.

Re: 69 510 Ground Up Rebuild
Thought it was about time that I got my ass into gear and posted a bit of an update.
The car has been striped (bare steel) and has been in at the panel beaters since xmas getting the rust cut out and patched.
While its been in there I have continued on with other mechanical/fabrication items in the shed.
I ground my rear suspension arms back slightly (& re-welded) to get some clearance for my CV setup.
Oh yea and over xmas my work mate came round to take me for a ride in his new car. $120 plus K and he is only 27!

Yea it does, we call it the premature ejaculation. Its speed limited to 180 so is all over before it's really started to get interesting.

Re: 69 510 Ground Up Rebuild
While the car has been in the pannel shop getting the rust and holes filled I have been keeping myself busy doing other little things.
Like my cup for my boost gauge.
And putting the final touches on my front suspension.
Datsport adjustable front struts (R30 Skyline) with 296mm rotors, R32 alloy 4 pot calipers and Cusco adjustable camber plates.
