Order the rings today from the States, they're heaps more expensive than I want to pay but I need them, should be here in about 2 weeks.

Hopefully I'll have this back together in January.

They're CP rings to suit the CP pistons.

I wanted CP rings.

Took the complete head down to work today and put it in the ultrasonic cleaner, works pretty sweet. This head was basically straight off the motor, not cleaned before it went in there, this is after maybe an hour at 70 odd degrees.

Dropped the ARP main studs and the girdle off today, the rings should be here any day so I should get the engine back before the end of January.

Also picked up the head from the other motor from Fleming's today, he's done a good job facing the valves and the seats, once it's cleaned I'll put it back together and reshim the inlet valves again then I can put that motor together finally and sell it.

Rings are in the country and should be delivered tomorrow, should have the bottom end back by the end of January. I'm tossing up whether to bother getting the head done or not, it should make the power that I want the way that it is, there's a chance the cams are going to be too big as well so I might have to change them in the future.

I've had a few bits like the ARP main studs stashed for this "final" motor, I got this throttle body setup that came off an R34 RB26 that had done something like 15,000ks so it looks brand new, I want to get a Nismo plenum but can't afford it right now so will just stick with the FReddy one.

I'll be ordering an air temp sensor that is a direct fit into the plenum as well, I've never liked the way I did the old one and this will be a bit tidier. I want to redo some of the plumbing for the vacuum canister and PCV setup in braided line.
