Thanks guys, for a test drive I need to bolt the rear end back in and measure up a driveshaft which I should be able to do this weekend. Then get John(broke) to make me a clutch line. Also things like brakes might be needed too.

Before bolting the crank pulley back on James suggested that I drill and tap two holes on the pulley to assist in future removals like other crank pulleys have. But Mr Nissan decided the CA pulley didn't need them and didn't leave enough metal in the center to do so, as you can see in the pic below there is only about 5mm of metal showing. So decided to flag that idea and just slap it back on. Getting it off wasn't that hard anyway with two big flat head screwdrivers and being very careful. Was planning to remove starter motor to stop engine rotating but James gave me an idea, seeing as I already had the front half of a driveshaft in the gearbox to stop oil coming out I used a piece of flat bar with two holes in it that James uses when working on diffs to bolt to driveshaft put box into gear and the bar hit the ground thus stopping engine from turning over when tightening pulley bolt. Still needs to be torqued up but got it tight enough for a test start anyway. And yes I put box back into neutral before start up!

Another busy Sunday out in the garage. Got the crank pulley torqued up, radiator and intercooler back in. Going to get a new t-stat before I fill her up with coola.nt, also going to satin black anodise my I.C pipes because.... Greg. Rear crossmember and diff bolted in along with my Datsport diff mount. Measured up how long my driveshaft needs to be, from end of g-box to diff flange it's 1125mm minus 15mm of float makes it 1110mm. Will need to get a whole new shaft made as all the ones I have aren't long enough so will take my g-box yoke and diff end into circle track this week and get them to make me one. No pics, it was cold and wet and I forgot haha. Still need to sort an accelerator pedal and cable out. I raided James' parts Z31 for those a while ago so may look at making that work pretty soon. Once I have a clutch line made she might move out of the garage under her own power! Exciting!

Message received loud and clear! Does your master cylinder have the outlet port on the side or the bottom? Once I know I can start ordering bits in.
