Righto, scraped the dust off the coupe this weekend and actually did some work on it!

Big thanks to my 7 year old (Will), who was eager to earn pocket money by helping Dad out working in the garage.

> I got the steering box removed (need to get the bottom thread cleaned up)
> Finally finished laying my second pack of dynamat superlite down (just have doors left to do)
> Drained water & removed heater box assembly (I have to do some remedial wiring behind it after a fry up last year)

As per most 'long term' builders, I get fizzed this time of year, thinking I can have car complete for next summer....
a visit to the classics @ levels today was motivating to!

By the way the silver patches are mass loaded vinyl layers velcro dotted over
the top of the lift & EFI feed pump to aid with shutting up those noisey things!

Picture-less update, don't expect any comments, just writing this for my own
benefit to keep myself thinking I am progressing with this damn coupe!!!.... ;)

Mocked up front seat mounting, now using the Z rails rather than the b110 ones,
should be a bit simpler adaptor the rails to the floor mounts, rather than adapt
the B110 rails to the seats. Also have brought another set of Z seats that will
hopefully be OK in the short term, then I can get my scruffier ones overhauled
off line when I can justify it / afford it.

Removed wiring from firewall to boot area. Ran 2x new heavy (8ga) cables through
pillars & roof edge cavity from boot to the firewall, with new dedicated feed to
the headlight relays and also general 12V power supply network.

New Fuel start signal from relay to new 50A heavy duty relay I am mounting in
behind the rear tail light plastics. Upgraded all the fuel pump 12v feeds to heavy
oxygen free 10ga wires minimum. Awaiting a gold 30A fused distribution block to
turn up which will feed the new 12V circuits. Fastway have managed to take 8
days so far getting it from chch to Timaru.....

Should have the ECU back from Scott @ Embedded Design next week. Should be
good to go with new onboard MAP sensor, new ITB tune base maps, tacho circuit,
and new bluetooth adaptor for Android on the fly megasquirt tuning/diagnostics:

dynamat is looking mint kitch! I know its probably back in your thread a wee bit but im being lazy...roughly how many extra kilos do you think you have added with the dynamat and how much did it end up costing?

I am thinking I might do it to my sedan to get a bit more comfort out of it...and seeing I don't really have many issues with power to weight....

I have put 1.5 packs of superlite (12 sheets or 48ft2 per pack) in the coupe to date (about 8m2)

not 100% sure off top of my head but think its 1.2-1.5kg per m2
I have also added mass loaded vinyly layer (the heavy silver stuff you see on floor) that is heavy!

In reality I have probably added a total of 20kg for my sound proofing by time I have finished.
Not ideal for power/weight but should make driving experience more pleasurable
