Well since my turbo needs a rebuild from some vg30 specific issues in going ahead to finish the tuned length header build.

flexis,v bands and turbo flange have been ordered, and my tight radius and donut bends turned up today.

I suspect excessive back pressure combined with a less than perfect oil drain angle didn't help the already 2nd hand turbo that was removed from a big power Sr20.

I'm also taking an opportunity to fit a huge inter cooler and do more direct alloy pipes to replace the " scrap setup i put together to get through cert"

Picked up this specific inter cooler, as it has the easiet shape of end tank for modifying, the inlet outlet will point directly down like some fang's instead of the usual side to side as shown.

If anybody has some experience with a 50mm V band waste gate let me know what you used, I want to keep the 40mm 4 bolt waste gate with my old setup so I can sell it or use it on something else VG30.

So im going to take these and sit them on an engine block with a plenum and bell housing to make sure i don't get un expected results when it becomes time for an on car trial fit.

And the new inter cooler.

Inlet is a 2.5 , outlet is 2.75. And of course its a bit narrower now and shortens up the pipe length on each side by about 600mm

Its come out pretty much how i wanted, plenum clearance isn't too much of an issue. Considering i have a 12mm Platonic plenum spacer not installed in the pictures clearance will be even better than the photos show.

Full tac up pretty much done, I really need the V bands and flex's to arrive before i can go any further. Once that lot as had a test fit on the car It will be time to JIG up the turbo and figure out how the hell
I'm going to position/ mount it.

Very happy with today's fit up

You have been busy! Are you planning on attaching a pipe and having that Y-joint at the back of the plenum snake around to the original turbo location? Or put it somewhere else totally?

Something like that, its going to sit up a bit further forward and higher. Sort of where AC used to be but not quite.

Got a nice wee box in a mail today, I traded some CAD work a while back so i was in credit with one of the USA Z shops who develop parts ect.

So they sent me these as a special thank you for giving them permission to use and sell one of my designs.

Also ordered a bunch of Blue silicone and 2.5 / 2.75 alloy pipes to do the Inter cooler setup.

Totally Amping with all these new parts to go in, its like Christmas !

I've got a crap load of brand new blue 2.5" silicon joiners if you run out.
