not much of an update, dan has the ecu and wiring looms, doing his business etc etc.

kitch showed up on saturday :highfive: and gave a helping hand to fit up/show me how to fit the sound deadener so as a result the whole floor pan and halfway up the firewall is now done, hoping to prep rest of the car on wednesday evening but will need to order more first as wow it uses it up quick.

need to get new fuel injector plug rubber bosses if anyone knows where i could get them>? also the rubber boot for the main factory loom? have scott on the case hunting through nissans stuff but if they dont have someone else might?

little progress otherwise...

Another nothing update, slowly accumulating the funds for a rubber kit I need, (car related), unless dans been a busy boy nothing new has happened. Of, my engine is early 90's or really late 80's because its a non nvct engine. So wont be upgrading cams/head spacers/worked head, etc or any of those fun toys .

Sorry to bore, but that's how it is, just focusing on me mechanical side for now, picking up driveshaft asap to check out fitment .....

havent really updated in a while, front half of coupe plus firewall etc has had ratmat treatment.

circletrack is shortening my driveshaft 40mm.

dans made progress on the wiring loom etc just waiting on some things from the states.

nick m made me an intank setup using a 6cylinder fuel pump from god knows what, but will easily keep up with my fuel needs, got wal to silfloss and paint it aswell!

decided on a set of wheels il be running. brendan kindly came along for the mission to geraldine for company and i suspect to thrash my ute around a bit. i bought the set of 13x6's and then perked brendans 13x7.5s.
they are Enkei Apache -6 rear and +10 front, chris has been super neat and chucked some tyres on for me to test fitment/stretch etc, will be looking for something around 175/60s i think as 165/65 is just stupid amounts of stretch and i dont need it as wheels are mostly in the guards.

getting mr van beek back for another installment of alloy magic, hopefully he can create me a bracket for my vr trigger wheel sensor AND make the actual trigger wheel itself.

dan is yet to tell me the coil pack i need but after that..... its close to running?

to get it running/driving i need to:

1. put oil in gbox, motor, diff, etc
2. fit driveshaft
3. get john (broke) to plumb up some fuel line
4. trigger wheel and sensor made and mounted
5. buy trumpets (not really essential for initial startup)
6. coil pack thing
7. surround the thing with mattress's as it has no brakes!

there is very likely a lot more things to make it happen but this is the big stuff? comment me the shit iv forgotten

and now because :useless: here are some pictures

Ratmat fitted (mostly at this point, all finished now)

some pics of wheel/tyre fitment (phone cam sorry)

175/50 front (stupid high would have to lower 50mm)
IMG_20130813_194540.jpg
175/50 rear (not bad actually)
IMG_20130813_194557.jpg
both 175/50s

rear without tyre fitted

front with 165/65 (looks fine, may change to 175/60)
IMG_20130813_194806.jpg
rear with 165/65 (outrageous and unnessesary stretch)

You heard about the Z, huh? lol Still got some stuff I want/need to do to it, but hope to have a few laps in it for this years track day (provided we're doing it again) since I didn't have much time to really enjoy it last time I was in Christchurch... At least if it craps out, I still have a backup plan (much like you with the ute!).

Akaora this year is pretty much the end of October, so I'm sure you can do it :D You've got plenty of awesome fellas assisting, so you should be sweet ;) Really keen on at least a running engine, so get to it! haha
