Hey James,
Those wheels look great! Stick with them.
That overheating issue s weird. If you are just driving it normally there is no way it should be getting that hot. One can only wonder how it would be after some serious hard work around a race track. Are you sure there is not something else going on ie head gasket?
Cheers
Dave

Hey dave, the wheels are Daniels on here with the rb26 280zx but I will very much be funding them somehow or another. Proper Rays forged 16x8s they are quite light too.
Yeah it's a bit weird, I will try this shroud I'm getting made , then I might have to look at the fact the intercooler is blocking radiator flow

James it may pay to check the blades are round the right way, not just turning the right way. If the vanes are on around the wrong way the air can stall across them, restricting flow.

I agree, and was about to post the same thing, some fans are designed to push the air some to pull, reversing a push fan to try and pull air somehow doesn't work as the harmonics or pitch of the blades are not designed for the purpose.

It is to do with the curve of the Blade.

Oh right
Thats certainly not something I've even considered . they are curved blade fans .So how exactly should it look ?

not really sure, did you buy them new? how where they described ?
The wiring colours may tell the tale, if the wires on the fan have a white or black wire then this should be the negative wire if you have a positive power source going to it then chances are they are running in reverse.

It's blue 12 volt and black negative
This matches up to how the relays are wired.
They seem to pull plenty of air around but it sounds like it's worth swapping then round to see if it improves things

blue positive and black negative sounds right, but worth swapping and checking to see if it flows more air the other way.

Just put a sheet of news paper over the front of the radiator if it stays up its all good if it falls down it is going the wrong way.
