Stripped down my struts last night gave the welds a of a wire brush as there's a bit of surface rust on them... have a plan for my my exhauast where it goes through the cross member went to chase exhasusts yesterday and got 2x 2bolt flanges and a length of pipe my plan is to have a small section of pipe going through the crossmember with the flanges at each end to make getting the crossmember and exhaust out a lot easier! Also here's a pic of the calipers painted upImageImageImageImage

Are you going to be running a flexi in the exhaust? I'd be worried about it being so solid mounted.

Yes I'll be running a flexi in the exhaust somewhere

So are you having a flange both sides of the cross member? Once fitted will it stay with the cross member till cut out?

That's the plan Vaughan, the idea is to make removal of exhaust and or crossmember easy.

Why not make one of them a slip joint or a v-band or smoething so you can remove the pipe from the cross member if needed without cutting?

Surely itl be a pain in the ass hadnling a cross member with some exhaust pipe hangin off it and visa versa haha

Haha a slip joint did cross my mind... still could be a possibility a v band won't fit through the hole which is 3" my exhauast will be 2.5" so I'm pretty sure the o.d of the v band is like 3" or closd to it
