Had a 80 year old man come and shake my hand and give me a hug thanking us for helping and you look at his house and it's ripped to bits fuck we can rebuild our lives but can they good to see lots out helping young and old

We just had a huge BBQ at one of our depots as a thanks for al the hard work this week. One of the blokes echo'd what I've experienced that everyone has been stoked with us. (Drinks, Fresh baking, and he even said a Mr whippee rocked up and gave then all free icecreams)
I imagine you'd be experiencing similar treatmant Glynn?

Yeah the water guys have been doing 15 hour days in some cases. I've lost count of the number of water leaks I've called in.
The ressession is over in canterbury!

Id say that the demolition contractors will be working flatout aswel.
Just need to get the centre of CHCH open so the businesses can start making a dollar again.

I got a hair cut today and there was a young fella saying he rang up to volunteer (not sure where through) and was told they already had enought volunteers and that they would call him if them needed another hand!!!
Got to say i'm impressed ay, that that many people have given up there time to help people out

I can't begin to imagine what some of the guys with their oldschool projects that have been destroyed would be feeling right now. Its not like its a subaru or beemer that you just jump on trademe and get another thats exactly the same.
Im scared for mine. I havnt see it since the earthquake. It scares me to death to think what could have happened to it.

Part of me wants to but I wont be able to do anything about it for a while any way
