Roll your guards that helps heaps! They have a lip underneath them thats horizontal and pushing that flush with the guards gives you heaps of clearance.

I checked the clearance on full lock and it appears the tyres are rubbing against the firewall and not the guards. Will be trying to source a better jack tomorrow and some stands so I can have a proper look... Cheers for the heads up

What size the tyres and rims are they? Iv got 175 50 13s and the rub slightly on on the inner guard on one side. It doesnt really affect driving as the 1200s lock is so good you dont really need to full lock it very often. When it does rub its just a gentle rub not some savage tyre shredding so it doesnt concern me.

185/55/14 is usually the biggest tyre you can use before guard mods become necessary (in my experience anyway)

Wonder if some low profile tyres would make much of a difference with rubbing round corners and under weight/load?

you could try some 195/45/14 tyres on the front, they are a lower profile that should stop your rubbing problem hopefully?? they helped with a set of mags with a less than perfect offset fit ok on my ute

Still have issues in the back so will need a set methinks. Might check out the tyre/wheel warehouses around town for pricing etc on a set and go from there. In the meantime and to get a warrant, may stick the 12" SSS wheels back on and repair the one that is flat. Cheers for the input.
