Those rubbers on mine were actually all stuffed. I found that one rubber, which is actually pretty good off a 160j in a wrecking yard down south, but i only have one. I was planning to get some old door rubber to make another one but haven't got that far yet, um for tail light gaskets i will proberly just use some silicon sealer to glue them in. Your 160j looks pretty sweet also

Hi Lang.
Those rubber parts take a lot of abuse and end up brittle and dry after a few decades.
I was thinking about using bicycle tire tube rubber to make new ones. Cutting a bicycle tube and making long sections, one on top of the other with rubber cement might do the trick. Similar thickness could be achieved.
For the tail lamps I fouind at a local hardware store these rubber mats...rubber sheets that might do the trick. I will cut them to fit and see.Perhaps this rubber sheets and silicone together.....when I come back from this trip I am going to I will get busy with that task.

For the tail lights windscreen sealer (not urethane) would be fine. Its what is used on some factory cars U14 bluebird tail lights are an example. It stays soft all the time never goes hard like glue. So long as you don't use silicon.

yeah windscreen sealer is all i used on the s110, and am going to do the same on this

Thanks Lang for the comment on my 160J ( not really a 160J, it has no IRS suspension, but solid axle, but it has no L16, came factory with an L18.....180J ?
)
That is good to know,about the windscreen sealer. I guess that is what is used on late model cars, that black gluish stuff, but it is not supposed to harden like clay, remains sticky but not hard.

What do you recon about these? think they will suit the j
13x7, 0 offset with proberly some 185's stretched on them

Hi.
13's are cool. I will fit 13s to my 710 later on. Right now I have 14X7s and 185/60/14s. They are Ok.
I was checking sizes one day. Between my 180B and 160J I have a couple sets.
This is the 160J/710 with 14X8 wheels and 185/55/14 tires.
A few photos. First, car with 14X7s/ 185-
60-14s
And shots with the 14X8 wheels and 185-
55-14 tires.
Photos make the 14X8 wheels appear like sticking out, but in person you would see these 14X8 and 185-
55-14 tires are flush, right there with the body. Looks nice. Suspensionm needs also to sit fully, I lifted the car then. With those tires I would drop the car one more inch to make it right.
Somewhere in my files I have a shot of some 160J with 13X8s. Looks nice. Hope I did not lose that pic with my defunct desktop PC.

Went to look at ordering some wheels today and the advanti rsb's pictured above are all sold out
Buut advanti takashi's are on sale:
