I noticed DJZ made an update so i thought i would do the same.

Can't let the ZX Stig get too far in front of me.

While i had an injured tendom and couldn't do anything interesting i started restoring this old steering wheel.

and with a coat of oil

and with a bit of VHT engine block ceramic i had laying about

words can't descripe what an ass this was to get installed on the car.

Made a template for re drilling the boss kit ( originally front a cad drawing) then setup the solid boss kit in the drill press and drilled/ tapped it to suit the momo bolt pattern

2 Doors made me these sweet little brackets for the bonnets drop vent so i started to install them

Oh lame Over a year and no update on my car.

But i sort of have some stuff going on for it. My goals by Easter time are the following

*Build a new gearbox cross member
*Get my second gearbox from my mate in America and build the best from the two of them.
*Finish the vent on the bonnet that needs a little bit of welding and finishing work
*Buy and fit some new rocker shafts to get rid of top end tick in the engine
*Start sanding and preparing for paint

It still runs fine, just has no window and hasn't been used.

Bart pep talk has got a fire lit under me to fix my car.

*New Rocker shafts ordered from Japan
*Got some prices and options for tires from Chris , looking at 245 50 16's all around if they fit or Front 225 50 16 / Rear 245 50 16 Need to fit a test tire up to a wheel to see whats going on with clearance to coil overs and bodywork and such
* Got a Price for a front screen fitted at $375 fitted gst from Windscreen Replacements Canterbury ( seems like a lot )

Careful spending on the key points has been approved by the boss so we can use the car for Datsun stuff next year.

What are peoples experience with "the Spray Store" i have a paint code i want to get made up but wanted to check if i should be using them or others ?

And Oil coolers , i need to fit an oil cooler a smaller core should do the trick along with a thermostat block. What are peoples recommendations on kits ? I have no issue with offshore components if the quality is ok but its hard to see sometimes what is what on the computer.

$375 Include the screen or just for the fitting?
Just a tinted screen for a 240 was $800 back in the '90s

That does include fitting and gst

It still seems pricey but I'm getting a few more prices

Thats a very big tyre. Sure you want a 50profile, I would love a 40 for mine but cannot find something in the width i want

I will be running an RX7 core with the inbuilt thermostat removed and a external inline Derale thermostat for control.

Good Info thanks Adam

Scotty Has hooked me up with the rocker shafts, arrive in January.

"that's a very big tire"

Yep that's the plan. I'm not a stance kind of guy and Ive always dreamed of seeing big fat meats on the back of this car. My Fuga has 245's and I'm very impressed with the mechanical grip.

Good to know Re Spray store , thanks

I might try and find an RX7 Cooler kit in the new year.
